62nd Bunclody Horticultural Society Show - Major Awards

Bunclody Horticultural Society are delighted with their 62nd Annual
Show. It went off brilliantly. The Society would like to thank all who
participated and those who turned out to steward and helped with the
setting up. No mean trick. Many thanks also goes to James Murphy and
the BOM of Bunclody VEC for their marvellous cooperation. Thanks also
to our many sponsors and advertisers, without whom the Show would
never have gotten off the ground.

After-Show Committee meeting Thurs, Sept 12, Redmonds, 8pm. Robert
Miller, Garden Judge, and Ian Hodges, photographer of gardens, will
present an evening showing photos of gardens visited and Robert will
talk us through the various attractive garden features. Thurs, Sept
19, Redmonds, 8pm.

Bunclody Horticultural Society Show - 24th August 2013


The Annual Buncoldy Horticultural Society Show will be held on Saturday 24th August from 2.30 - 5.00pm in the Bunclody Vocational School Irish Street, Bunclody, Co Wexford. A celebration of the richness of traditional crafts and skills including Cookery, Crafts, Agricultural and Horticultural produce, and showcasing the best Wexford has to offer.

A family fun day including the very popular Art exhibition from local and national artists, with junior and senior sections in art, photography, short-story and writing competitions. We will be exhibiting a variety of crafts from patchwork to knitting and sewing, many beautiful creations can be viewed including patchwork quilts and a special children’s section, regarded as especially important because it encourages young people to take an interest and get involved in gardening, cooking, and especially growing.

Sharing top billing for our green fingers enthusiasts is our well-established flower section, entries always draw gasps of admiration from spectators, with the beautiful displays of cut flower arrangements and displays. The Home Produce section guarantees many feasts for the eye in this ever-popular section with stiff competition in all classes.

Gorey Bee Keepers will exhibit their bee keeping skills and you’ll get to meet a Queen bee! So don’t miss all the fun of this year’s show with exhibitions/ demonstrations/ tea /coffee and a fun filled day.
It’s a fantastic family day out with lots to see with an endless displays of top class cookery and craft, Remember to bring friends and family along for a great day out and we really look forward to meeting you there!
