A great time was had by everyone at Bellefield House, lots of plants etc bought. A good lunch was taken at Dooley's Hotel in Birr. Heads up to anyone having lunch there in the future - the seafood chowder starter is excellent BUT it is made to order so my advice would be phone ahead if you want to try it before your main course! The day finished with an excellent visit to Leap Castle. Sean Ryan is a good friend of Nicholas and Carmel and we were made most welcome and well entertained by Sean, his story telling is only surpassed by his whistle playing. Well done to Nicholas and the Events Committee for putting together a very good day out - hopefully the first of many this year.
